We have created a special space for your child on Sunday mornings. Kids are active, interested, engaging, clever and very intelligent. They ask great questions, too. We have found that the best way to teach kids, is in sharing the message with them, while giving them a place where they can experience the story of scripture. In the Loft we have a variety of ways for kids to engage the story. Each week an age-appropriate, large group is the setting in which the kids will have worship together and hear the body of the story. They will then enter one of four interactive studios each Sunday. The primary purpose of the large group setting is to have the children hear The Story. In the studio's, the children are able to personally and experientially enter The Story.
The four studio's
Storytelling Studio: this space gives children a place to dramatize the the story. There are costumes, props, and a full stage with curtains. It is amazing to see kids who are often quiet, come to life when they get on the stage and the curtains are pulled back.
Music and Motion: the studio is filled with guitars, bass guitars, a full drum set, keyboard hand percussion instruments, dance pads, fun energetic activities and more. Our hands and bodies often have the capacity to listen better than our ears. This is a definitely our loudest room!
Art Studio: Here the children will utilize artistic media to better understand what they are learning. this space is designed to stoke the creative fires within each child.
Discovery Studio: This studio digs a little deeper into our stories. It is a mix of culture, science, nature and history, seeking to explore what things were like during the time of the story and how that relates to our present realities.
